Welcome. Solaris is a BC owned and operated company with a passion for renewable solar heating. Our roots go back to 1988 when we made hot water systems for high end homes in Vancouver. In 2007 Solaris began to design and test solar heating systems, that emerged in 2011. We have CSA F-378 on our collectors, CSA on our solar tanks, have Engineered Drawing for F-379 and expect full CSA F-379 certification on our packaged system by the end of 2011. Drainback Pro uses pure water, which is the best heat transfer fluid with a heat capacity 16% higher than glycol solutions;
Pure water is pH 7 (neutral), the H2O chemistry does not change due to pressure or temperature, glycol does change
